Abstract:

In this piece, we take a look at a new way of doing Pulse width modulation (PWM) is used by PV systems that are linked to the grid. A seven-level neutral-point-clamped (NPC) multilevel inverter with a cascaded H-bridge (CHB) may benefit from its enhanced efficiency. Improved output voltage quality, reduced total harmonic distortion (THD), and higher DC-link voltage use are just a few of the benefits of the suggested modulation strategy. This method is very flexible and makes great use of voltage balancing since it combines NPC and CHB systems. The effectiveness of the is shown by simulations run in MATLAB/Simulink. Enhanced Phase Shifted PWM (EPS-PWM) technique. By surpassing conventional modulation techniques, the technology demonstrates its suitability for modern renewable energy systems via improved waveform quality, stronger harmonic suppression, and increased power transmission to the grid.
