Abstract:

Electronic commerce has emerged as a transformative force in global business operations, revolutionizing traditional retail models and creating unprecedented opportunities for market expansion. However, the rapid evolution of e-commerce platforms has introduced numerous challenges that significantly impact both businesses and consumers. This research examines the primary issues confronting e-commerce stakeholders, including security vulnerabilities, trust deficits, technological barriers, and regulatory complexities. Through comprehensive analysis of secondary data from industry reports and academic literature, this study identifies critical challenge areas including payment security concerns affecting 67% of online consumers, trust issues impacting conversion rates by up to 45%, and technological infrastructure limitations constraining market accessibility [1].
