Abstract:

This project presents an automated IV (Intravenous) bag refill system using an Arduino Uno to enhance patient care and reduce manual intervention in medical settings. The system continuously monitors the fluid level in the IV bag using a sensor (such as a weight sensor or). When the fluid level falls below a predefined threshold, the Arduino triggers a pump to refill the IV bag from a backup fluid reservoir. The setup includes safety features like flow control and alert mechanisms to prevent overfilling or air bubbles. This low-cost, efficient solution aims to improve the reliability of IV administration and reduce nursing workload.
