Abstract:

The deregulation of the electrical industry has already been advancing worldwide, particularly on the distribution side. Whether to use large volumes of data from smart meters to support and improve the effectiveness and sustainability of the energy system is a crucial problem. Smart meter information analytics has always been the subject of extensive data. To offer a detailed review of the existing research and highlight difficulties for future studies, this article contributes by detailing the cyber security risks with smart meters and providing a plan for handling this issue shortly. The objective here is to provide a starting point for classifying the system's inherent problems and potential threats that could take advantage of those faults. This paper presents comprehensive information, applications, methodologies, and issues while focusing on the various types of cyberattacks. Researchers in cyber security field will take advancement from the information evaluation and classification as they work to understand, measure, and control cyber risks.
