Abstract:

This study focuses on freight forwarding operations with respect to sea freight, which plays a crucial role in the global economy. The aim of this study is to examine the various aspects of sea freight forwarding operations, including its importance, challenges, and impact on the supply chain. The study highlights the key functions of freight forwarding, such as documentation, customs clearance, warehousing, and transportation, and how they are critical in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. The study also examines the challenges faced by freight forwarding companies, such as volatile market conditions, changing regulations, and increased competition. The impact of technological advancements, such as digitization and automation, on the sea freight forwarding industry is also analysed. Furthermore, the study evaluates the role of freight insurance in mitigating risks associated with sea freight forwarding operations. In conclusion, this study provides insights into the complex and dynamic nature of sea freight forwarding operations and highlights the need for companies to adapt to changing market conditions to remain competitive.
