Abstract:

Shipping is the one of the biggest industries in the world without a doubt.90%of world trade has been done through shipping its because of 70% of earth contains water. Without shipping, intercontinental trade, the bulk transport of raw materials, and the import/export of affordable food and manufactured goods would not be possible. 11 billion tons of goods are transported by ship each year. This represents an impressive 1.5 tons per person based on the current global population. Shipping’s capacity to transfer goods and materials from where they are produced to where they will be ultimately consumed underpins modern life. For an economic region such as the European Union, shipping accounts for 80% of total exports and imports by volume, and some 50% by value. This study is concerning shipping investment and its various aspects. Ship investment and decision making are placed at the most strategic stage of ship owning, operating and management companies. There has been variable which are depending on specific to segments of maritime transportation on ships prices side. Some companies get successful while some get failed.
