Abstract:

Video surveillance technology becomes indispensable in business sector, public safety and law enforcement around the world. The benefits of video surveillance are wide spread from monitoring and real-time protection to investigation and evidence preservation[4]. Loss prevention is clearly a top concern for retailer professionals across the country. Resource monitoring is an important parameter in today’s competitive Business world. If we monitor resources from any time and from any where that will yield high productivity. This will lead to achieve the breakeven early and getting good profit early without compromising the quality. In this paper, we conduct a comprehensive survey of the existing techniques and proposed a new technique for video surveillance using IP Camera through Broadband network. The monitoring can be done from anywhere irrespective of distance. We discuss the limitations of earlier techniques, advantages of the proposed technique and point out the future research directions in this area. The design and implementation issues are clearly explained.
