Abstract:

Voting is a basic right of every person, allowing them to select tomorrow's leaders. Online voting systems are software platforms that are used to safely conduct elections and votes, removing the need to cast ballots on paper or gather in person. They also preserve the integrity of the vote by stopping people from voting more than once. Electronic voting provides advantages such as enhanced efficiency and lower mistake rates. E-voting is a type of electronic voting system that allows consumers to vote from any location or device that has an internet connection. Extending e-voting into blockchain technology might be the answer to address current issues and make voting simple, safe, and efficient. Blockchain is a new, decentralised, and distributed technology with strong cryptographic foundations that has the possibility of improving various elements of voting. It can aid in the creation of an immutable, transparent, and efficient system that cannot be hacked.
